How do we use our furniture?

Furniture made of solid wood is a very elegant addition which will warm up every interior. How to take care of it to ensure that it looks beautiful for many years?

Use only a soft cloth made of natural material for removing dust. It should only be slightly moistened. After that wipe the surface dry.

It is worth purchasing appropriate products for cleaning natural wood. Choose the cleaner according to the type of impregnation method which was used for your furniture. Do not apply the cleaner directly onto the surface of the furniture, but on a soft cloth.

Wood has a soft texture and that is why it is quite easy to scratch its surface. Do not use sponges or other sharp objects. Wipe the cloth over the wood surface in the direction of the grain.

Apply oil or oil wax once every six months (the frequency depends on the impregnation method used for your furniture). Apply the product in circular movements and go with the grain of the board.

Do not use synthetic products such as washing-up liquid or glass cleaner. If you decide to use these detergents you risk damaging the surface and the protective coating of the furniture will be removed.

Get rid of wet stains as soon as possible. Apply a paper towel and then wipe the surface with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid spreading the liquid over the surface of the furniture.

If there is dirt or stains, for example from food, do not allow them to dry – get rid of them as soon as possible.

Hot pots or pans must be placed on special mats which will protect the surface of the furniture from heat. The same applies to electronic devices which generate heat, such as laptops, TV-sets and lamps.

Use a writing pad for desks or tables if you want to write something. A pen can leave marks and scratches.

Remove dust on a regular basis. We recommend you purchase an antistatic brush for cleaning.

Avoid placing furniture near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Check the humidity level in the room where the furniture is placed. The humidity should ideally range from 40 to 60%.

Furniture made of solid wood should be placed in interiors where the temperature ranges from 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Thanks to proper care and regular maintenance of the wood surface, as well as by following some important rules, you can be sure that your solid wood furniture will maintain its properties and beautiful appearance for many years to come./p>
