Refinement of the wood surface

You can choose from the following types of wood surface treatment: Natural oil, oil wax, water-based varnish

In the product description you will find information on the advantages and disadvantages of the individual types of surface treatment:

Oil Wax

Advantages:

Protects the wood both from inside and outside.
Does not clog the pores of wood.
Does not emit harmful substances.
Does not form airtight protective layer on the wood surface.
Emphasizes the colour of the wood and its grains.
Has high resistance to liquids.
Is easy to clean.
The wood surface feels smooth.
Has antistatic properties.

Disadvantages:

The protective layer needs to be refreshed or renewed on a regular basis.

Matt varnish

Advantages:

Does not form airtight protective layer on the wood surface.
Has very high resistance to various liquids.
Forms protective layer which prevents wear and damage to the wood.
Provides smooth structure to the wood.
Regular impregnation is not required.

Disadvantages:

Contains chemical substances.
For the renovation purposes you need a specialist.
Clogs the pores of wood.
The layer which protects the wood surface forms a barrier which prevents contact with wood.

Natural oil

Advantages:

Protects the wood by penetrating the wood and providing the protection from inside.
Makes the wood harder within the protective layer close to the surface.
Does not clog the pores of wood.
Emphasizes the colour of the wood and its grains.
Does not emit harmful substances.
Does not form airtight protective layer on the wood surface.
Has antistatic properties.

Disadvantages:

Has low resistance to liquids. .
The protective layer needs to be refreshed or renewed on a regular basis.
Requires careful maintenance.
